How One Child Can Make a Difference
Can a child with a heart for giving and $10 make a difference in the lives of those struggling in poverty? Yes, he can!

When Chapel Hill fourth grader Quinn Reeves was given $10 and told by his teacher to give it away to someone who really needed it, he carefully consider his mission. He talked with his mother, Glynis, who volunteers at PATH. She told him about the people who come to PATH needing help. She told him about those who did not have enough food to make it through the week. She also told him about children, his age, going to bed hungry.

After hearing her stories Quinn told his mother that he wanted to give his gift to PATH. And like the book, Pay It Forward, his gift continues to give. For you see with his $10, PATH was able to provide food for a family for four days.
Thanks to teachers like Quinn’s, students are learning the true meaning of giving. And thanks to children like him, philanthropy will always live.
